Victoria James · Adaptive Systems Consultant
For founders, growing teams, and brilliant people who are wired differently, I take work that hits friction and turn it into the basis for a well-oiled machine.
Who I work with
The habits, hacks, and workarounds that got you where you are eventually start to hold you back. I find the stuck points. Then I build systems that fit your people and your tools. The work keeps moving, but it no longer runs through one person.
You are capable and accomplished, and you know, or suspect, that you are wired differently. Executive-function load, high sensitivity, and tools built for neurotypical people wear you down. Often the thing you cannot force yourself to do seems like it should be easy. Together we sort it out, by identifying what you are good at and drawn to. We decide what you should carry yourself and what belongs with automation, a tool, a tweaked process, or the people around you. Your strengths do the rest.
How I work
First, I surface the blockers everyone has learned to work around, and I ask the questions no one thinks to ask. I make the invisible visible before anything gets built.
I borrow what works, whether from organizations or other domains, and I fit it to you. Sometimes that means activating a team, and sometimes it means channeling your interests, energy, and attention where it is most impactful. The solution might involve structured routines, strategically timed co-working sessions, automation, or a workflow built around how you run.
Short feedback loops show where things break. Once the system holds, it runs on your side with a light touch. You are never dependent on me.

Questions
I find the operational problems a team has stopped noticing. Then I build systems for knowledge, workflow, and handoffs that fit the people and tools already in place. Work keeps moving without routing everything through one person.
Founders and growing teams whose early habits and workarounds have started to hold them back. And capable, accomplished people who are wired differently, often neurodivergent, and held back by systems built for someone else.
Yes. I work remotely with clients across the United States and internationally, from Western Massachusetts, with occasional in-person support.
I start by finding the silent problems, then build a system shaped to your constraints. Once it holds, I hand it off, so your team or the right tool can carry it without me.
Yes. I work with capable, accomplished people who are wired differently, often neurodivergent, and I build systems that fit how they actually run, so their strengths carry the work.
Yes, that is one accurate description. I take on part-time operations leadership for founders and growing teams, finding the stuck points and building the systems that keep the business moving.
Yes, with a focus on neurodivergent clients. The coaching pairs with the systems work, so change holds in practice and not only in theory.
Yes. I build knowledge and workflow systems so a team no longer routes everything through a single founder or key employee, and keeps running when that person is away.
